Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

Like most everything else, I found this on Pinterest and thought it was a simple and fun idea. I made them for a Superbowl snack last year and they were a HUGE hit with the boys, so I decided to make them again for a New Years potluck.

These are pretty filling, but are full of flavor and taste amazing with warmed pizza sauce or marinara sauce.

INGREDIENTS (yields 16 rolls)

  • 8 mozzarella string cheeses
  • 2 rolls Pillsbury Crescents (reduced fat)
  • 8 oz package of pepperoni
  • 6 oz jar of pizza sauce or marinara (found in pasta aisle of grocery store)


STEP 1: Open all string cheese packets so that the cheese is free to cut. Cut each piece in half, making 16 total.

STEP 2: Roll out crescent rolls and split along perforated section. Add 3 pieces of pepperoni and string cheese piece.

STEP 3: Roll from large side of crescent and finish by folding in the sides as best you can to keep the cheese from oozing out. Lay on baking sheet.

STEP 4: Serve with sauce, warmed. This is best devoured when hot.
